I'm sick 😷

I woke up last Thursday and was sure I had strep throat. Made it threw the weekend, went to the doctors in Sunday only to test negative! Then Sunday afternoon my mouth started feeling itchy, my eyes were burning, and the pressure was BAD. I suffered threw work in Monday (thankfully I work alone in my office!) to come home to a temp of 103.6. Monday night I was sure I had a sinus blockage (again). I have not has a sinus cold this bad in 4 yrs.  today I feel better??? My head is still full, my mouth is still itchy as all heck, and my eyes are burning BUT I'm able to blow my nose and actually function!

On a happier more exciting note:
Friday the older 2 boys went camping for their year end camp with cubs! It was cubaree!!!
They slept in tents this time, with other packs from our area! There were 150 people total (big difference from the 6-9 they normally have)

On Saturday, Nate and I went fishing! Yes I even touched the worms 😖
The only thing we caught was seaweed (thankfully). It was with the accessibly club run here locally. Children with different handicaps participate in different activies geared to them! All though Nathan isn't considered disabled, you didn't have to be. I originally signed up with all 3 kids them found out after that it was camp weekend. So the older boys missed out (Dalton was sad he missed fishing but glad he choose camp!)
Saturday night I took advantage of only having 1 child, we took a road trip to have dinner and a chat with my bestie!

Had a great dinner, get chat but boy oh boy did the night ever go fast???

Sunday morning I was woken up to phone call that Dalton was sick, and I needed to go pick him up.

I get to camp and I'm meet by the paramedics (scary), he was vomiting and had diarrhea, he also had a dizzy spell.  They advised me to take him to be checked out. They were afraid he may dehydrate do to the amount he had been sick. Plus when they offered him some water he was immediately sick afterward.
So we came home, the boys showered, them I packed all 3 kids up to go to the doctors (thankfully the clinic was open and I didn't have to go to the ER).

Doctors guess was something viral?
I propably wouldn't have taken him if I wasn't advised to, cause it's not abnormal for Dalton to react this way when his diet is off.
The one down side to this camp was they couldn't use the chalet to cook so everything they ate this weekend was easy convience food that can be cooked on a small propane grill (hot dogs, grilled cheese, pancakes, Baccon) see where this is going

I've had him tested for a wheat allergy. It was negative (the high end of normal) but I notice any time he eats wheat he ends up gasteral. I will bring it up again on the 10th with the doctors.
This also gave me a chance to get checked out. Told me swab was negative!

And well, you read the first part so you know where tho goes.

Here's hoping I feel better really soon!!! I don't do sick well, and when I'm home with 3 kids alone it's even worse!!!
Thankfully I don't get sick often but when I do....look out!!!!

Look for a new post on Nathan and his allergy pens!!!!

#23!!!!!

What a week!
Tuesday I was suppose to have a phone call appointment with my SW, 10am came and went...nothing??? So at 10:30 I called her, got a machine, left a message...and waited. 1pm I call again, left another message and waited. 4pm I called and left yet another message. This time I also sent an email. Feeling nervous cause I was meeting my Dr the next day.

Wednsday, I leave for the city, get there ahead of time, so I did some shopping!!!

Got to the Dr office and waited, and waited, and waited.
My appoinments was for 11:30. Got in at 1pm (not to bad). Had a quick chat, he triple checked I wanted to proceed, that I knew the risks, that I was pre paired. YES,YES and YES!!!!

So we signed all the consent forms an I went out to get my package.

I don't have a definite date (yet) but I'm officially on the wait list!!!!! Depending how many OR times slots they get for July and August weither it not I get in. It most likely will be September.

I've been chatting with some local woman and it's great to have them. 1 is post op (RYN Feb), 1 is scheduled end if may, and another is just beginning the process (seminar in June). It's awesome to be able to help them and encourage them. It's also amazing to see their transformations.

So currently I'm in limbo again, #22 people will get dates before me but that's ok. It will go past quick. The down side is I have to do 3 weeks of optifast 😜
So I will at least get that much notice. Till then I will continue with what I've been doing and continue to lose weight (at what seems like a snails pace) and hope that I'm down at least another 20-30 lbs before I check in!

Now I'm going to share with you a photo I took April 1, 2014...this was the day I did all my clinic appointments and this will be the offical photo of the start if my journey threw RYN. I've been holding the photo for 6wks. Kind of afraid to share, but it is the reality and it will keep me motivated to stay focus!

Busy week!

Well the last 6 weeks have flown past.
I have my phone call with the social worker tomorrow, followed by my appointment withy surgeon Wednsday's

I'm currently down 13lbs (mixed emotions on that number but it's better then a gain!)

People keep reassuring me that the hoops have all been jumped threw and all that's left is a surgery date. Yet I still feel this has gone way to smoothly and something is going to be thrown at me to prolong the actual surgery???

2 more sleeps, just 2 more sleeps....then the BIG count down and planning will begin. Fingers crossed it happens soon and not in the fall 🙏
